Audio restoration is the process of improving the listening pleasure or intelligibility of recorded sound by using equalization, phase optimization, noise removal and a host of other techniques.
Audio restoration can be done for CD mastering, forensic purposes, or even personal reasons, such as the desire to hear a family member's voice from the past. Since the intended use will determine the methods and extent of our efforts, it is important for us to know the purpose of the restoration.
We give free estimates for work after inspecting and listening to your tapes or disks to determine format and other information, including playing time. We do charge our hourly rate to determine whether your tapes or disks contain any special content that you desire.
Estimates are made in good faith, but until the job is under way we never can be sure what other problems might crop up. We will keep you informed every step of the way, so you will know what to expect.
