This session was recorded on March 22, 1960 in the McAllister Auditorium of Tulane University. The audience was made up of a handful of students and professors who happened to wander in when they heard the music from outside. The recording exists because of my desire to document this music; it could not have been done without Bill Russell and Dick Allen of the Archive of New Orleans Jazz at Tulane University....
