Topsy Chapman & The Pro's
My One and My Only Love
Topsy Chapman was one of New Orleans' gifts to the international jazz world. She was a local artist, singing in churches and clubs, when she was spotted by Vernel Bagneris and Lars Edegran, who were preparing "One Mo' Time," a show-business musical set in 1920s New Orleans. The show was a local sensation, playing to sellout weekend houses, when it was "discovered" by New York producers Jerry Wexler and Ahmet Ertegun. The rest is history...

Topsy Chapman vocals, Jolynda (Kike) Philips vocals, Yolanda "Peb" Windsay vocals, Duke Heitger trumpet, Lucien Barbarin trombone, Don Suhor clarinet + alto sax, Rickie Monie piano, Mark Brooks bass, Ocie Davis drums.
